In the explanatory statement reads: "The Via dei Marsi: La Spina Verde Marsicana (Route environmental, historical, cultural, religious and tourism), as assistance is to take the concept of the museum in its broadest meaning: The end of the operation falls under the exploitation of resources of tourist interest, promoting accessibility and an approach to the cultural sites and the environment with alternative routes. Through the historic roads, is planned sustainable environmental development based on environmental and cultural resources, proposing, then , the visitor a different interpretation of the landscape.

Today's recognition of the Via dei Marsi opens the way for the future consolidation of one of the most extraordinary landscapes in Europe, that the Abruzzo National Park and the Regional Park Velino, with a center of gravity in the Reserve of Monte Salviano at Avezzano and in the basin of ' ancient Lake Fucino, crosses the Marsica most genuine, tracing an ecological corridor through the Champs Palentini, to the Val Roveto and Ernici and Simbruini. A corridor valuable to the Bear Marsicano, the Abruzzo chamois and the lynx Apennines, in a territory historic events since ancient times, also known for the battle of Tagliacozzo and the earthquake in Fucino, but today the epicenter of the ransom a new relationship between man and the earth, in an ecological and geopolitical hope for the future.
