The Association ERCI Team Onlus part of the celebrations of the "Centenary of the revelation to the world of the discovery of Machu Picchu 1911-2011" was commissioned by the Embassy of Peru to collaborate in the work program of the initiatives.
In full agreement with the Autonomous Body of the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise were scheduled for 13 and 14 July next two events in Pescasseroli, in the Conference Hall of the Park Visitor Center.
The first evening event on 13 July from 17.30 to 19.30 will see about the official visit to the Park of Abruzzo SE Cesar Castillo Ramirez Ambassador of Peru in Italy; It will be an opportunity to see the opportunities for inter-institutional collaboration between Italian and Peruvian institutions concerned, public and private, in issues of environmental sustainability, social and economic, through cooperation agreements between multilateral environmental protected areas. The team ERCI Onlus arises lead this collaboration agreement having developed, since 1995, a series of activities in PERU, with a focus in the region of Ayacucho (Vischongo, Chiara, Vilcashuaman) and in the area of Urubamba Valley (Cusco) for the protection and conservation of the environmental, historical, cultural and archaeological heritage unique in the world: biotope "Puya raimondii". In light of the Supreme Decree of the Minister of Environment of Peru, Antonio Brack Egg, which set 24 December 2010 the 'Conservation Area Regional Forest of Puya Raimondi - Titankayocc, was presented to the competent authorities Italian, Peruvian and international, the new project "Strengthening local capacity reaching environmental development of the Protected Area Regional Forest of Puya Raimondi - Titankayocc, in the districts of Clare and Vischongo, Province of Huamanga and Vilcashuaman - Ayacucho", promoted by the international expedition scientific and natural-sports " Puya Raimondi Expedition ", first survey carried out from January 28 to February 20, 2011, the second was scheduled for the period 2 to 28 September next. At the conclusion of the event we will be presented with a promo of the new documentary "The Flower of the Stars - Qoyllor Wayta".
The second event of the July 14, 2011, from 9.30 to 13.00 at the conference will be dedicated to "Experiences of best practices in land management" with the participation of distinguished speakers at the University of Roma Tre, the State Forestry / CTA's PNALM, University of Milan Bicocca, Company Development Study, Apurimac Onlus Association, Art Association Peruresponsabile.it and Pollino.
It is hoped the full support and cooperation of the institutions and public and private organizations, a way to create synergies and connections with nature and the Parks and Reserves of Abruzzo: from the Apennines to the Andes. An agreement naturalistic scientific, cultural, educational and promotional:
- in the International Year of Forests,
- for the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy, dedicated to the great character Italian Antonio Raimondi who also fought for the unification of Italy, as Giuseppe Garibaldi took citizenship in Peru, but then dedicated his life and his work to cultural and economic development of Peru;
- participating in the promotion of the celebrations of 1OO years of the discovery of Machu Picchu (1911 to 2011);
- on the anniversary of 10 years since the twinning between the City of Avezzano (AQ) "Abruzzo National Park-Natural Regional Reserve Monte Salviano" and the City of Ayacucho (Huamanga) "ACR Titankayocc forest of Puya raimondii ";
- and celebrate the birth of the Conservation Area Regional Forest Titankayocc.
